Swaziland is a beautiful country lodged at the heart of South Africa.
We spent 4 days in Swaziland and had a fantastic time. Our friend and guide, Bruno (which I met during my previous trip in Southern Africa 3 years before) thoroughly drove us through the whole north of the country, showed us plenty unique places, and introduced us to many of his local friends.
We where kindly invited to stay at Sobantu’s Guest farm and Backpackers, a traditional Swazi farm and backpackers. Tanbo, Dudu and Nick welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home upon arrival.
This little text would be incomplete if I didn’t mention Sascha. I met Sascha on my last trip too and met him again totally unexpectedly. He works part of the year in Germany, saving money, and then uses that money to travel to and volunteer in South Africa. There he actively works and helps two projects in Malelane and Mattafin, both aiming at the education and welfare of children living in townships and orphans. If you ever consider giving to a charity, please consider this one. Learn more about this projects on his page: www.sascha-southafrica.de
That’s enough talking, here are a few pictures of the beautiful kingdom of Swaziland:
